I was wondering the same thing, and it took a bit of doing, but I figured out what was going on. So, in the scene where Yui is getting off the bus you can see a sign in the back that says 城岩村 (could be Shiroyam Village, I don't know) which is the name of the village Ichika lives in. The image at the end of the search results or something says 土砂崩れで壊滅的被害 城岩村, translated to "Landslide destroys 城岩村 [could be shiroyam village, again, I dont know what the author intended the village to be called exactly]." So that's how the story ends, Yui and Ichika escape and the village is destroyed by a landslide that probably wasn't directly cause by either of them... probably
