yeah that about checks out lol, Chiyoko isn't the brightest but she loves her friends too much to let a ploy like that fool her. Big fan of how Shinoppe's solution was still steeped in how she usually is, just directing the anger towards herself too, makes it all the more satisfying that Chiyoko sees through it immediately

go get your girls now Chiyoko, you got this

thanks for the chapter!

I see that Chiyoko is having that Renako Amaori aura, that she just want to have friends but ends up with harem instead.

Btw, is it really true that police in Japan would take in highschoolers if they notice that they are not from that area/town? Seems really extreme to me.

chiyoko is too wholesome for this manga
Yup, she is like a yuri saint.

I think it’s more so that they’re skipping class rather than not being from the area. Being taken into custody might be an overreaction though lol. They’ll probably get a talking to or call to their parents if they’re caught.

Police in Japan would actually bother with something like this?
I remember when I was 14, not only was I staying up late as much as I wanted but that was the age I was started drinking (I could go and buy a beer and nobody would say anything to that) and started going into night clubs. Pretty much everyone from my generation could do that at the time.
The fact that police would actually bother to hassle them for skipping class and even call parents is not only foreign to me but also kind of opressing.

I don’t know exactly myself but I do know its fairly common in anime and manga for police to be more community involved and personal with the locals.

Except when there is actual crime being committed or people being bullied. Then they are nowhere to be seen.
But seeing 19 year old drinking a beer? Or a highschooler skipping a class? How dare they!!! :dogkek:

I think it's fairly apparent it will end as pairs. The author's been hinting at that for a long time, especially with Mafuyu and Chiyoko. Mafuyu blushes a ton around Chiyoko and seems to forget about Sakine for long periods of time.

I'd bet the next chapter will suddenly reveal the real reason she's upset about that photo is because Chiyoko was kissed.
