Just one little thing is confusing me--on page 8, why does she have a cloth wrinkle in her skin? No matter how much I look at it, I can't make any sense of it as something other than a very large wrinkle (like an undershirt might have). But she's not wearing an undershirt, so... ??? Am I crazy?

I don't think you are crazy, the art is just not that great in this manga.
It is definitely some sort of mistake and everyone's brain is doing the classic "fill the unknown with something that makes sense" thing and calling it sweat
