I do like yuri, but if the story and/or characters are shit, I won't bother with it just because. Never could figure why Citrus and its sort are so popular, it's pure crap.
Stuff I dislike/have grown tired of over the years:

1. Drama for the sake of drama
2. 5 minute conversation could solve issues, but talking is forbidden until plot allows it
3. Suddenly, a third wheel appears for no reason except point 1
4. Will they or won't they and then they never, if you are actually writing yuri in a yuri magazine, commit to it!
5. "And then she/they died". Tragedy for the sake of tragedy never works. Twist for the sake of a twist never works, just ask Shamalamalalamlalmalmama

I've only read baihe manhuas lol (chinese yuri), but i do hate manhuas where misunderstanding last like a million chapters and its just one that could be solved with a simple talk.

I appreciate its existence, and understand those that enjoy it, but it makes me sad in an irrational way.

There's no need to repeat that piece of disinformation, the domestic abuse is from prior straight relationships, and using that as an argument is misogyny anyways, specially if you need to make it sound that the only purpose of having females is reproduction (they can conceive artificially anyways). • Yuri mangas usually follow a relatively understandable and 'realistic' plot line.
• I like women
• at times I wish I was a woman
• I vibe with the calm style most yuri's have

I've seen a lotta people say they like toxic yuri.
I'm not exactly the most avid yuri fan so I'm really curious about the reasoning.
I'm a self proclaimed certified fujoshi, but I hate toxic yaoi, so does toxicity hit different when it comes to yuri?

i just like when cute girls say they hate each other but make out anyway, or like a bit of bullying. girls should bully girls (me, girls should bully me)

I've read the sashimi one! (It was tagged under psychological if we are talking about the same one)
it's the oneshot where she has a crush on like a girl but she is emo like that and she decides to off herself in the massive whirry machine and her crush finds her alive head or something right?

I've read like around a dozen yuri manga as recs from a friend and enjoyed them a lot. But I don't find this poll meaningful, Yuri is a genre at the end of the day and a lot of the compliants I see are ones most of the medium (JP Media) suffers.

In reality a lot of people's complaint are of the few series they have read and isn't representative of the genre as a whole, not to mention subtle or not so subtle homophobia being into play.

Because all this does is gonna make the haters and lovers bitch against each other rather than actually being a discussion of both party's viewpoints/

Got any sources about the domestic abuse part? Also, why is not being able to make a baby a problem though, I'm geninuely curious. The world as a whole and especially underdeveloped countries suffer from overpopulation and not to mention there's so many children out there who don't have a home or family.

I don't see why it's a problem, if someone decided to not have kids or are in a same sex relationship that's their business and I don't understand why people get bothered by it.

Atleast governments I get because CAPTISALISM BABY.
