I do like yuri, but if the story and/or characters are shit, I won't bother with it just because. Never could figure why Citrus and its sort are so popular, it's pure crap.
Stuff I dislike/have grown tired of over the years:

1. Drama for the sake of drama
2. 5 minute conversation could solve issues, but talking is forbidden until plot allows it
3. Suddenly, a third wheel appears for no reason except point 1
4. Will they or won't they and then they never, if you are actually writing yuri in a yuri magazine, commit to it!
5. "And then she/they died". Tragedy for the sake of tragedy never works. Twist for the sake of a twist never works, just ask Shamalamalalamlalmalmama

I've only read baihe manhuas lol (chinese yuri), but i do hate manhuas where misunderstanding last like a million chapters and its just one that could be solved with a simple talk.

There's no need to repeat that piece of disinformation, the domestic abuse is from prior straight relationships, and using that as an argument is misogyny anyways, specially if you need to make it sound that the only purpose of having females is reproduction (they can conceive artificially anyways). • Yuri mangas usually follow a relatively understandable and 'realistic' plot line.
• I like women
• at times I wish I was a woman
• I vibe with the calm style most yuri's have
