the official english is up to chapter 18, and the raws say volume 6. so my guess is the completed is meant to be volume 6 not chapter 6

No, it's short. English was in Webtoon format and completed; that's why you see "18." There's only 6 chapters.

People don't figure out their gender in a single realization. The confusing language was used in the manga because they is confused about themself.
