Thank you so much Windyfall.
We are so close. I just want Fuyu and Ririka to be happy.
I am glad Fuyu has been able to put her past behind her and look towards the future.
Meeting Ririka's grandma made Fuyu see an alternate future if she doesn't go foward and grasps Ririka's hand.

I'm glad that it doesn't seem like her friend was trying to discredit her, it just seems to me that she personally didn't have any romantic interest in others and thus concluded that falling in love was something that happens in fiction and not in real life. Which means that Yuri for her is completely fictitious. It's easy to extrapolate from your own experience to others and people often have trouble believing something is real if they've never experienced it themselves

I think it's more like she thought a girl confessing to her was too unrealistic to ever happen to her, as in too good to be true.

Giving her the benefit of the doubt, it's possible the friend meant that the idealized "yuri world" depicted in those manga was just a fantasy, which is certainly true. But the way she said it caused Watanabe to take the exact opposite lesson from it. Of course, it's also possible that her friend just has internalized homophobia and views romantic love between girls as something entirely fictional, but I think what she said had a bit more nuance than that.

Yeah, only otaku know what Yuri is, normal person don't know about that. Fujiyama just learn about this, at least the conversation benefit for both of them. Lol

Also, the confession at the end is very unique. Not using generic word like "I love you". Lol

Awwwww kiddo....

Whew. I can actually relate a little- not that I had a crush go so heartbreakingly bad as that! But when I was a teen, I think BL was kind of... a world of dreams for me. I couldn't imagine myself as a man who could have feelings for other boys. "That kind of thing can really happen" was hard to think of when I was a kid, because it just... wasn't anywhere around me. (I was a kid in the 90s, lmao. it was rough out)

I hope its a lil less hard now.

Shipping your friends together and the people around you isn't just disrespectful, its creepy. Especially whenever she got mad at ririka for "getting in the way" earlier on
I always thought so too. You see it from time to time in other Yuri where you have someone watching over the couple (usually a guy) from a far and it always made me feel a little uncomfortable. Like I guess maybe it is fine if they are a close friend as long as it doesn't get taken in excess... but I personally really would prefer to be left alone if I'm on a date with someone unless it is a double date or something.

And what if the two people you are shipping together end up having no feelings f or each other and are just really close friends (or sisters?) Well now you just made things super awkward.

I guess maybe it is supposed to be an allegory for the readers... but there is a huge difference between reading a fictional story of fictional characters getting together, and actively watching real people who are in a relationship who have not given you their explicit consent to watch them
