It's better like this than going a hundred chapters for a rushed ending like Komi and Dress Up Darling both had. And that's after everyone had series fatigue and was unsatisfied with the ending when the producers told them to wrap things up when the popularity plummets. Ending the story on your own terms is much better than angering your fans in two different ways. This was a short and sweet story, could maybe have gone on for a few more chapters and expand on some of the histories of the characters and such but this worked and didn't drag things on and overstay its welcome.I don't know if this was axed early but I like the way it wrapped up, it might have been for the best
The problem with series like Komi and Dress Up Darling was that they got so popular that they became cash cows and had to string along the fans for years, until they started losing fans and had to end quickly while they still had fans who even cared about them any more.
The manga business is messy.
