Anyone else miss the first arc, with the abandoned walled city with the haven of survivors slowly retaking their homes, which was a drastically more interesting story than whatever this is?
I love this series, but still think he lets too many things slide. He is getting pulled this way and that, and has yet to make a stand on anything... I know that is how his character is, but still hope for something.

Escapism is for people of all ages. Even in isekai, be it reincarnated teens or adults, their faults can usually be chalked up to the author’s incompetence.
...Also, I feel most isekai I read nowadays are about adults, not teens. Especially people past their twenties. They just happen to focus their reincarnated story on the teenaged part of their new life since that’s roughly when they get free choice and become responsible for themselves.
