or u can look straight or down like a normal person.... dont give me that 'he was talking' crap
? Why should people need to look downwards?
And if you look straight, you will inevitable still see upwards too (just like how you still see downwards enough to walk safely, as well), humans have a vertical FoV too.
But for stairs that are steep enough you can accidentally see under someone's skirt, I would honestly expect you to look upwards. Since at that point it is kinda a ladder more than it is stairs.
sure. always a good thing to not tell your family that ur bringing someone over and hide who it is
That shit was weird. Why not just tell her "your coworker came over to help me setup the gear. Oh, and she expressed interest in meeting you if you want to"?

main point is having the decency/courtesy to look down on purpose.

which means not looking straight up hard enough for you to know wat kind of underwear the person ahead of you is wearing.
though tbf she did seem to be wearing a skirt that goes way above the knees so i doubt it was too dark under there.
and even if you did see something you shouldnt have then youre supposed to naturally look away and pretend you didnt see anything.

is it too much to ask for a boy his age? perhaps. but i personally aint buyin the authors attempt to sell this guy as some sort of ideal kind onii-chan.

That makes no sense. It is neither decency nor courtesy to do so, it is a hazard to do so. If anything, that should make it the opposite of decent to look down until you are unaware of your surroundings on a treachorous piece of terrain known as steep stairs.

I agree that you should not get flustered, it is literally just an unintended view. Either ignore it as it is not your bussiness, or make it your bussiness to let them know it is visible for people behind them at that location and then go on with the rest of your day, if you think the person would care enough they would want to know. Either way it is not anything that deserves more attention/effort than something like if you see someone's shoe is untied.

I think expecting them to look down is too much to ask of anyone.
ps: The author is imo trying to sell him as an incestous stepbrother who views even his sister as a romantic target, but at least puts more focus on ensuring the entire family can eat properly every day. Not sure where you got the impression the attempt is to make him appear like some kind of ideal&kind brother, other than it being the in-universe chat's impression for now.

So the backup "pc" was a laptop all along. And it needed some setup to be done. And that HAD to be done in his room, because..? This doesn't even work as a disguise for romcom shenanigans.

How? OBS isn't THAT demanding.
I mean big bro hasn't ever streamed before, they need to set up OBS to have his themed overlays, the right canvas sizes, fps, bitrate, they also need to make sure his live 2D model is set up correctly, and they need to make sure he has his channel credentials for twitch or YouTube set up in OBS. It's not a big deal for someone in the know, but a newbie would have a hard time with it.

I mean, I'm still gonna read it, but it could have been so much better

Fair. Though due to the portable nature of laptops they could've done that anywhere. Maybe if it involved setting up a camera as well to track his movements for the model...

Setting up themes, sure, but she shouldn't have any of his data on her personal PC shes handing over (any login credentials, the theme itself, model, etc; she shouldn't know his credentials regardless, but maybe the other files are a shared online drive any employee can get). If she somehow did have all that, could have handed it over already setup given its just a laptop apparently. Also, he literally has a sister in the house that should have experience with that; while its possible someone else came to set imouto's stuff up, it definitely wasn't this girl (since she wanted to meet wine-tan). What's stranger is the company is expecting an employee to give up their personal hardware to a new employee? It could have been different if it was "this is what I started with in the company, but I have since bought my own hardware and kept the company property on-hand as an emergency backup, but the company needs to re-allocate it to you now as a new employee" type thing.
