Which brings up the question of whether or not he encouraged her to go full throttle pursuing Nozaki assuming she would... well, do everything she did.

Agree with the general vibe that all this is a bit too much melodrama given what the stakes were for like, 400+ chapters. I'm just not seeing a path where everyone involved doesn't get emotionally scarred for what seems to be no real reason.
