Nah it's not because of my preferences. She doesn't love the MC, and is surprisingly bland. It makes me feel sorry for him even if it's his choice. Like that friend who wants to go for a girl that's out of his league only to end up heartbroken.
You know people don't just fall in love instantly. She likes him and is interested in him and is getting to know him better.

Yeah and that just drives my point further. If you love someone you don't give a damn about what other people think, especially not random strangers. Her mother approved of him, he's friends with everyone from her party, he's cheerful, strong and head over heels for her, and she so far didn't seem to care about the fact he is a demon, which would be a legitimate reason to not want to be with him. He's just been friendzoned
That's not really the problem. It's just that they didn't know eachother at the beginning, and that was when he asked her out. Since then, they've been hanging out and have gotten close, so it's a matter of when Youki will ask her out again.

tbh I wondered if Raven would like it. He DOES want to be seen as a macho cool guy, and this conveniently sidesteps the voice issue.

For the people saying Cecilia doesn't have feelings for Youki... that's just blatantly false. She clearly sees him as special, and at this point I think she'd probably be very tempted to say yes if he asked her out again (though she's also a bit of a shirking violet in some respects so maybe she'd be too nervous now) but the two of them getting into a proper relationship is probably where the manga ends. I'd like for it to not be, but that's how these thing usually go. Thus all the side character get more development (and they're all good anyway), Youki and Cecilia need to be drawn out because it's the final thing that will be done.

Personally I'm looking forward to Raven finding out that they're not human. I think with the Mermaid chapter things have advanced a bit closer to him believably accepting them for what they are. And with everything Youki has been doing for him, I'd really love to see Raven play the wingman as well.

I will say that this is pretty much entirely the artists fault, since he seems to want to constantly focus the story on progressing all the side couples while never really sparing much time to have Youki actually interact with Cecilia in any significant manner. And any time Youki does get time to spend with Cecilia, somebody always shows up to get in the way and so no progress is ever made.

First, While not caring for what others think about your lover or yourself it can lead to some negative consequences such as being harassed (whether it be direct or indirect) and can lead to society treating you like trash and lead you to be isolated from others. Another fact that should be mentioned is that its not wrong to care about how people think of your lover (not saying you said otherwise) due to how you'd want to prevent your lover from feeling bad about themselves so it doesn't purely have to be about the individual not wanting to look bad.
Second, at this point they have been getting to know each other pretty well since the very first confession. The first confession was so sudden and they knew nothing about each other and was on the basis of love at first sight. The main point of the story at this point is MC getting out of the friendzone to get together with her and to do that he's trying to get to the point of confidence in himself so that when he confesses he can proudly do so.
