I think this is one the first I've seen where the transported people were like "What the fuck is going to happen" instead of "wow, so nice". Not the MC though, he looks kinda dumb

So this isn't mentioned in the chapter: but they get sent back to the time when they were summoned. So it's one of those "it seemed like a year on the other world but it only took a second on Earth" type of deals. And the summoned hero does get an entire year of luxurious treatment. Also, the summoned dude can choose to withdraw from the role if they want and go on an all expenses paid sightseeing tour; they'll find a stand in.

Then..why summon them if they can easily find a replacement?? Is that summoning girl retarded?
