I feel so lost. Everyone is treating the MC like he's the most unfortunate person alive. Like I understand his parents died, which is of course awful, but the only thing that happened before being isekai'd was him walking to school. I have no idea what he's even talking about with "What he's always wanted", or whatever. I guess he's lonely? The only part of his character that has been established is his parent died, so maybe he's Batman? A lot of telling and no showing going on so far.
Also what is going on with everyone's reactions? The goddess is shocked he wanted cake that doesn't taste awful?
