a) sometimes laws allow people to work in businesses they can't patronized, like 18 year olds in a US bar. Might be side rules there about not getting to touch the booze (there are other tasks to do.)


b) and probably the bigger factor here: it's a family business, those bend or break the rules all the time. (Sometimes with legal permission, like I think child labor laws often bend for family businesses.) Possibly she's not even on the books as an employee, and she just gets a really large "allowance" for her labor.

Now, I'm wondering, the way her ex gf used toys, and was TLed as being "a woman", was there age gap in her past?
