Hmmm... they are really at a disadvantage with the knowledge about what their enemies are packing.

These guys were using the spells of mamodo they killed, but at least it was weaker than the true owners, now some of them can use it 100%, and they have abilities that are different than mamodo magic.

Well... I presume that if they can win this raid, this weakness can finally be offset a little... but it is clear Beliel outfitted this place with pretty strong heavy hitters... and at least one crazy fucker.

It has been some time, so my memory isn't perfect... the guy who killed his "allies"... if I caught it right, he is one of the siblings of that other guy Brago one-shoted, isn't he?

The sorceress with him is the one who was his partner.

Well we don't know if it is the same guy, since they are a group of brothers, but he is definitivelly related to Zillion, the guy that raided the demon world specifically to have a duel with Brago but missed his chance, then got his ass kicked by Brago in the human world and had his head desintegrated by gravirei

I mean, everyone is weak spells-wise RN. if anything, it is a miracle belgim, tio and brago have as many strong spells as they have right now, since they're supposed to only have a part of theirs right now.

I mean to be fair, Kiyo and Zatch were always about strategy over brute force for a majority of the previous series.

It was only when Zatch awakened Baou that he was able to become a powerhouse, and even then it was only against his brother’s goons before he started to get outpaced again in the power department.

Zatch and Kiyo winning by brains and strategy is more their style and speed.

Did they ever explicitly mention what happened if a spell is completely destroyed if the Mamodo is still alive? Can he "regain" that spell? Because I remember Canchome had his spells but he used them up.

idk where did you get that. Zatch was definitely a powerhouse, if he didn't have enough power he wouldn't be able to defeat them.
