Just rumors about the manga being axed. Such rumors are rarely accurate enough to tell where is the end.

It's a misunderstanding comedy where MC thinks he's going to get kicked out.
I don't know how he still thinks it at the end of 3 adventures where they completely depended on him.

Art style was pretty much generic since chapter 1 then the first boss giant monkey they fought was already a red flag that this was meant to be a short-term adaptation (i.e. just a promo for the LN).
But I guess at least they ended it with a 'the adventure continues' style of a wrap-up compared to some I read that just abruptly stopped publishing.
