How the fuck does this series just keep getting better, this is supposed to be a neat manga about how to run a public library loll

But yeah, I totally understand exactly what Kadono is going through, well maybe not through personal experiences, but through stuff like books and stories

Like, the whole trope of "burning a society, and rebuilding from the ashes" I always thought that was a really dumb concept, because how are you going to ensure that policies and rules are enforced equally among every area of your control, and it's even worse when they eventually die, who's going to keep reigning the ropes

Maybe the example is of a much bigger scope to what is happening rn in the story, but I think it makes sense to relate it to what Kadono is trying to do. Kadono wants to build a really solid foundation, and KEEP IT that way! But it's incredibly frustrating for her that this is basically an impossible task, and she can't really do anything about it

I'm really freaking curious how the author is going handle it, will they make Kadono reach a compromise to what she actually do with her abilities, or will she find an external solution to the problem... MANNNNN I can't wait for the next chapter lmaoo

Sorry for yapping y'all it's just that I really love this series loll

But it's for her not for you, so the ideal words applied to her not you who wants to change the world apparently lol
You completely missed my point but it's fine, I'm not gonna derail this comment section any further.

continuity cliff, see you folks next chapter!
she's coming from a place of concern. but I understand her passion for her ideals, and as I'm commenting on someone else's behavior: she's applying herself in a way that is unhealthy or at the expense of herself.
she's worked hard to get where she is, and made a sensible decision for her career. she is clear on what she wants and is passionate. she also communicates with people involved, so what's the problem?
the issue lies with the maintaining the system, and this goes for public works and accessibility for the disabled. compromise has to be made because you cannot rely or come to expect how people will act. it's harsh to think you can only rely on yourself.

I'm speaking for myself, because I do part-time work in a kitchen and during my free time I organized the pantry, dish and utensil rack. I've been praised for my behavior, and been told what changes need to be made for it to actually work. but work is busy, and many people go through spaces the entire day, and there are also those who are only incentivized by the hourly pay. I can only do so much with my free time outside of my duties.
people learn where things go, through the general tour, observation and by asking others. it's not sustainable to ask others at the expense of their time and your own critical thinking.
I am bothered when there is a pile of forks with the spoons, that the serving spoons are not separated from the teaspoons. they are in the same area in different baskets, and they look different- wouldn't it be easy to organize things...? it's rough to say but people can't be bothered.
if your position entails you to move things into the pantry, it is not part of your job description to stock the shelves and breakdown the boxes.
if your position is dishwasher, your duties are meant to keep the dishes clean and 'put away' the dishes. even if you don't know where they go, you keep your pit clear so that you can clean more dishes.
people have different priorities, and I've given up in some areas because of how frequent things are move around and how the place is tight for space. there is a really tight shelf where we keep the chafers, the metal vessels used for buffets and different ones are pulled out almost everyday. there is no hope in organizing something like that, especially when the chafers come back into the kitchen to be cleaned at different times.
recently the kitchen was remodeled and I feel too short for the new shelves while lifting heavy pots over my head. sometimes my lower back hurts from that even though I know and can clearly see 'where it belongs.'
I speak reason that I am incapable and that it's inconvenient.
I only hope for there to be more accessible systems of organization so that it's clear to see for everybody. in my personal example, everybody would include the chefs, servers, and the dishwashers.
I would like maintenance will be easy, because I'd like to think people enjoy knowing where things are.

"Clinging to ideals is not something an adult should do."

.......................................wat?. How the hell do you ever make a positive change to the world then? Do you accept a never-ending status quo?
Maybe it's a reference to "when you are young you can have a heart, when you are old you go conservative" or however that saying goes.
