And his "TV Schedule" event is so fun! I had a blast and scored 90k in the "Eternal Noon" stage.

I think the ZZZ Marketing team wanted to have a big bonus before the end of year by making such move.
Anyway, in my case I will probably poll for whatever 5 star ether agent in the next banner.
Nicole can be pretty mean when I am with her.

1.4 hype is building up as they had just streamed their update preview:

Code given away for 300 polychromes is VOIDHUNTER
TL;DW for people who have a life:
  • 1.4 is described as a climax in the main story, which may imply either that more 1.x patches in the future that won't progress the main story are coming, or that we're going straight into 2.0 afterwards.
  • New areas: Port Elpis and Reverb Arena. Elpis has new Mr. Mewmew stuff and commemorative coins.
  • Hoshimi Miyabi (S rank anomaly) and Asaba Harumasa (S rank attacker) will have both of their banners up immediately after the version patch and last for the entire version. One copy of Harumasa will also be given away for free via an event.
  • 2 new bangboo: Agent Gulliver (S rank) and Brawlerboo (A rank), the latter of which is being given away in an event.
  • New gameplay events include exploration of the hollow Melinoe, which appears to center around HSO6 as you can get buffs for Yanagi and Miyabi in there specifically. A new free A rank w-engine can be obtained here.
  • New Hollow Zero content: Lost Void. Comparable to standard HZ, but agents are auto-strengthened to the appropriate level if they are underleveled/undergeared. On top of resonia, special gear exists now as a new means to change up your runs. There is even gear that can change whole parts of a specific agent's kit.
  • The two aforementioned bits of gameplay are explored in 3D maps as the devs complete their culling of TV mode. They even added this revamped exploration to older story missions (unsure if this applies to side missions too), but you can still toggle TV mode for missions that had them initially.
  • New gameplay mode: Deadly Assault. Comparable to HI3's Memorial Arena, this is a score attack mode where you fight against a boss enemy. There are 3 bosses to fight in a season, and you can only use an agent once in a team to fight a specific boss (so you need 3 unique teams if you intend to fight all 3). Emphasis was placed on the fact that you can maximize rewards in a season while only having to fight 2 bosses. Deadly Assault is planned to update alternating between itself and Shiyu Defense, so one of these two will refresh every week.
  • Bangboo Arknights tower defense event. Self-explanatory.
  • A bunch of more casual events such as a one that works a bit like bootcamp, another puzzle event, double drops, etc.
  • 2 New disk drive sets.
  • You can now hang out with agents at trust level 2. They follow you around in the map and you can get rewards through it. You can now also play as any owned agent while free roaming.
  • Various QoL changes. Personal highlights being all the 60 energy coffees being consolidated into one, a new currency that allows you to get free clears of those disk farming stages, and auto-clearing the first 3 nodes of Shiyu if you have cleared the previous season's final node at S rank.
  • Decibel system is now confirmed to be reworked. Each agent has their own decibel meter to build up and unleash their ultimates separately. Time will tell how drastic of a change this is, and could affect future agents' kit design if their ults are more central to how they function.

I just hope we'll get a disclosure of what happened to Perlman because see, Perlman was the whole reason we got to Blazewood, right? And then for some reason they just dismissed him? And it kind of peeved me a bit.

The livestream does indeed confirm in chapter 5 that he wakes up and we finally get him to talk. Story in 1.3 has been really sparse and if I were to be generous, I would say it's because a lot of their effort has been directed to developing 1.4. Here's to hoping it was worth it.

A really drastic change indeed.
The shared decibel meter was really convenient.
Grinding points from a character and unleash other character ult, really convenient.
RIP shared decibel meter 🙏
But this rework seems pretty interesting though.
I am sure there will be characters that can share decibel points in one way or another.
And as you said, only time can tell if this is really that big of a deal.

We get 800 polys (5 pulls) out of the whole deal at least, so that's nice.
How's everyone doing with the impending update? I'm likely going to get Miyabi and her w-engine myself, so I've been prefarming to that end. Mats are mostly done, and now I'm farming some crit discs (woodpecker electro) as that's speculated to be her best 2pc.
There's also leaked info on the version coming after: Astra Yao (celebrity chick you may have seen in in-game billboards) and Evelyn, whoever that is. I hope they'll end up skippable for me, as I haven't skipped pulling in every version so far since launch.

Considering how zzz was marketed and what the global demand is for future characters, I thought it would be funny to go against the grain and just play as all men.

That being said, Ellen’s premium skin is more based than Mika’s and Zani’s character design.
