Also I have a pet theory/headcanon that the MC is actually bi, but he chafes against the BL world so much because he is into men in a realistic real world way, not the melodramatic BL way

Things have gotten better than bl manga 15 years ago at least

“Blurry” faces aside, there’s not too much anti women/misogyny happening otherwise (tho surprised no yuri parodies yet lol)

Tho this series does have a lot of on the nose tropes as satire but it’d be interesting to see the author do a “real” bl at some point lol

Hatano in main story chapters gives such top energy, but the moment the bonus/omake's start he becomes the ultimate bottom it's so cute LMAO

I just love the vibes of the omake in general. It lets the characters breathe and develop more in small little ways they can't in the main story, mainly because of MC-kun not being privy to what they're like outside of his perceptions lol

Ahhh I’m so conflicted. Like I want to root for Hatano because he’s so innocent about his love but also I want to root for MC for dodging all the tropes. I’m actively rooting for both their success and failure.
