Can't tell if this is trash or good. It's like somebody wanted to write historical fiction, action seinen, and violent porn, but couldn't decide which to do so he just did all of them. And it suffers all the positive and negative consequences of that thoughtless mashup. I guess time will tell, though so far the way he treats his female characters is way more sexist than I'm used to out of manga.

I had this manga rated at 10/10. Now it's 9/10 for me, but that rape scene didn't need to happen :,)

Jinnai and Kiku wherre about about to get married when...

FMC gets mindcontrolled by flute guy, who rapes her. Later it's found out and MC helps kill the Flute/Fox guy. Kiku's master says he loves her like a daughter and she should leave with MC because he will protect her, she goes to find mc, but only finds one of his feet xD

After that i think there are a lot of misunderstandings. MC disappears for 3 years, i don't know if he got kidnapped or just escaped for his life and he thought FMC didn't like him anymore so he never returned.

Some time later Kiku's master gets info that MC might be a traitor and tells Kiku to give up on mc and sends her to eliminate him.

There's also this succubus that's Kiku's sensei and a rival for MC's love. Kiku knifes mc, they talk, he says sorry for not returning after the 3 years and he felt she didn'tr like him anymore, MC toys with her, she throws rocks at him, he saves her. But in my opinion i still don't know if Kiku is still more loyal to her old master or to MC.

They almost married and now they took so many steps back. I hope they get together again :,)

Rape?? Do you mean attempted rape because either I missed the rape scene or you are mistaking something. Does Kiku get groped in several panels by zombies and by the first villain that Jinnai killed? Yes, yes she did. But that should count as attempted sexual assault. However they should really put the tag sexual assault on the genres.

How do you look past the rape scene? How is it logical that he wrote the character to completely disregard the fact that she lost her virginity by being brutally raped? This is completely sickening and non sensical writing. There's no female character ever that would be raped and next chapter is like "okay I guess that happened, tee-hee! What's my next assignment boss?" Main character of the product consumed being raped or NTRed is literally the worst fear of 8 if not 9 out 10 people and with a good reason. How are you not disgusted by how Kiku is presenting herself after this? It's literally infuriating writing. It's like a new character and the rape never happened!!!

I don't want them to be together anymore and I wanted Kiku to act like a person that actually went through rape or ideally I wanted the author to not fucking pull the trigger on the most lazy and shitty writing that can be employed by mangakas and you can tell how lazy it is by the fact that Kiku literally acts like nothing happened and becomes a crazy person hunting the man that almost died for her literally twice. They didn't need to get married... She just didn't have to be raped for this to continue forward. And by saying "oh it was hopefully a one time thing" lol do we need Kiku to be raped more than once to condemn this?
