There are fairies in western European style, practically smurfs with wings. Coinflip if they steal your youth or fix your shoes. Whimsy.
Then there are fairies in the eastern European style, slightly less menacing than rabid wolves, born of blood and pungent with nature. Cautionary tale.
Seems our fae alraune-thing here is leaning Eastern.

I wonder how the uncle and Seki are connected. He sure knows about Seki and hence tried to keep her hidden.
If I were to speculate, then I'd say that the evil Seki is the uncle's Seki and the boy have got his own different Seki, who is kinder and not evil. And, perhaps, we'll soon see the third Seki, the sister's Seki

Ok so I think the uncle is worried about the evil Seki and considers it a problem.
I'm guessing he locked "it" up because it's unkillable or has regeneration or something.
