Man, does this thing take a hard right turn between chapters 1 and 2.

Chapter 1: Silly cute travelogue between a pair of mildly awkward goofs who overcome cultural differences though their shared experience.

Chapter 2: Generic immature new couple WACKY HIJINKS rom-com #54,196

I'm not dropping it after 2 chapters because it deserves enough runway to prove its final direction, but it feels like they sold us a fun concept in chapter 2 then the author panicked when he/she realized they didn't have enough ideas to fill a bunch of chapters after that so they scrambled and made the most cliched, troperrific paint-by-numbers relationship comedy they could.

Honestly, I would've believed that this was a one-shot that won a contest or something to get itself serialized.

It's funny to see that this got bailed on 2 years ago and nobody swooped in to pick it up. If that doesn't say how dissatisfied with the direction it went after chapter 1, then the fact that it wrapped up in just 15 chapters probably seals it.

Chapter 1 is very good after that it goes downhill fast if you're expecting any romance at all u will be be disappointed. Just going to various places with a friend basically. Their relationship does not feel real or genuine

Started out cute but turned into a complete thrash super quickly.

That is one of those stories that suddenly includes on character who is literally the worst. A complete low life of a person, whose existence has no reason but to be a piece of shit towards the MC without any redeemable qualities.

And of course it then acts like both that character and the Mc are in the wrong for constantly 'fighting', said fighting of course just being the mc sometimes losing their patience a bit in an entirely reasonable way.

The typical Japanese thing where not letting people bully you is seen as a bad thing.
