Good chapter. The amount of give-and-take and negotiations highlight the gritty and harsh nature of this isekai, compared to others where the protagonist just agrees instantly to harder and harder requests to move onwards and upwards quickly for the reader's wish fulfillment purposes.

Given the nature of this city so far I would not be surprised if whether by choice, necessity, or law, tradesmen operate through retailers or a government outlet. They already seem to do so to some degree via the adventurer's guild. Would make for an interesting dynamic.

In medieval times, specialist workshop districts were often very restricted, like the glass factories in Venice.
Craftsmen there weren't even allowed to leave because of the risk of the workshop monopoly being broken or the workshop secrets being stolen.
