The thought of Yajin being seen as a pawn makes me wonder how he will be seen when he has more of a reputation. Honestly, it makes me worry about Puppy when it happens.

Still gonna be tough to convince me that boss guy's gonna be scarier than the magical ninja fox.

I haven't read all the wn, but there are big differences in the story since coming to Toulon. The workshop siblings are the same, as is their backstory, but in the wn Yajin immediately bends the knee to Emden and becomes his main torturer and one of the Green enforcers. I think the Manga deviated because what Yajin does as a torturer is just so obviously reprehensible and unjustifiable.

Yeah, I also read the wn, I'm just asking because I don't know if the Manga is going original or following anything. both syosetsu and kakuyomu stopped updating so I was confused

I don't hate this development. I don't remember if the thing with the underdeveloped assassins was ever setup in the previous chapters as it would be hard to remember that detail in a monthly release manga. However, if it was, then this is actually a great development. If it wasn't, I feel like it was a bit of a copout?
Either way, I'm glad Yajin isn't running away AGAIN
