It's fine if he can't stay longer than it takes to get the gear finished. That town's not a nice place for him. Even if he's not walking on eggshells, it's not far from it. He needs to keep looking for a place where he can belong. Probably a much smaller town or village with some special circumstances.

I hope he doesnt find a nice village to relax. I dont want another vagabond/vinland saga
