It's fine if he can't stay longer than it takes to get the gear finished. That town's not a nice place for him. Even if he's not walking on eggshells, it's not far from it. He needs to keep looking for a place where he can belong. Probably a much smaller town or village with some special circumstances.

Please dont kill the fucking town. Idk it feels like this is falling too much on The Walking Death trap of "Humanity is the worst monster out there" but I guess that has always been the point of this series. It feels too much, too redundant and too repetitive. It's fine to show people that just don't give a fuck, not everybody needs to be an enemy, not everybody needs to be a cunt or like this man. Show people that just don't care but are overall nice.

I don't know how to explain it, the art or the way it's story boarded but this manga feels claustrophobic like n64 fog and something is menacing at all times just beyond the draw distance.

I hope he does find a small village to relax in and actually enjoy living in the world. But then he realizes that he's too bored and unsettled without having any kind of struggles and so he sets out again to travel around.

I guess I just kinda hope he gets some kind of safe haven central base area that he can return too so he's not on edge 24/7/365 and can get some real rest and downtime.

This is such a dog eat dog world, but not in the way that where everyone is comically evil for no reason whatsoever. This is just a world where there's a reason as to why everyone is the way they are, but at the same time they're also just always trying to put themselves first before anyone else. You still have good people like the blacksmith siblings that Yajin befriended (which I'm so grateful for because Yajin really needs people he can trust and have a healthy relationship with), and I'd venture to say that the sword saint was a good person too. The guard here as well. This world is more realistic, many people trying to do what they can to survive, even if it means taking advantage of other people, but the world isn't without their more altruistic and good people as well. A lot of grey areas.
