He could not! Ben perfectly countered a kick he was seeing for the first time. Yajin would be dead right now. He was giving the fight his all too, brain was going a mile a minute and it still wasn't far enough.Yajin has faced foes that gave him a challenge before, but Ben is on another level. I wonder if Yajin could have truly defeated him if it wasn't just a sparing match. 🤔
Thanks for the upload.
Inb4 the Sword Saint was a reincarnated HEMA enthusiast.More shocking is the techniques Ben used are extremely close to the ones seen in the German treatises.
Yeah, while still way better than most series (no "generic attack pose" followed by "generic hit receiving pose"), the choreography in something like Katainaka no Ossan is way easier to follow because it's more consistent between panels.the flow from one movement to the next doesn't always work.
This is not that kind of story, bro. This is a tale of Yajin's suffering in a cruel, merciless world, but without edgelordism.Wow, a Japanese author who actually made his protagonist lose? What happened to the supreme superiority of Japanese limb flinging?
By the way,
Can someone fix the chapter grouping in the volumes?
The grouping since volume 6 has been wrong.
vol 6: ch 31-36
vol 7: ch 37-42
vol 8: ch 43-48
vol 9: ch 49-54
vol 10: ch 55-60
vol 11: ch 61-67
Already didYou need to submit a report on the series page, use the "Incorrect Volume Number" option from the menu.
This is just the undersuit, they were checking the fit, and the breathability/water resistance; they were going to add armor to it after, then enchant it.I hope that self-repair enchantment also comes with a visual upgrade, holy shit
It's skin-tight, but still like an inch thick, it could still have an inner layer, but like he says, you shouldn't count on it to block a blade directly, especially from a thrust.A swordsman stepping into the range of an opponent he has an advantage over reach-wise (and staying there) is absurd, which means Ben either was either entirely out of his league and toying with him, or the author has no idea what he's doing at all. Given that comment about an "inner hide layer" on an obviously skin-tight suit, I'm leaning towards the latter, unfortunately...
For real. Yajin had the disadvantage of not knowing how Ben fights. But Yajin had the advantage of his other worldly fighting skills that Ben had probably never seen before. Unless, the hero Ben trained under was a reincarnator like Yajin. If that's the case, Ben may have some knowledge of fighting skills like Yajin's.He could not! Ben perfectly countered a kick he was seeing for the first time. Yajin would be dead right now. He was giving the fight his all too, brain was going a mile a minute and it still wasn't far enough.
Thanks for the tl
You try making making "an inch thick" suit skin-tight to the extent shown here... that's certainly going to be interesting to see. It's skin-tight, but still like an inch thick, it could still have an inner layer, but like he says, you shouldn't count on it to block a blade directly, especially from a thrust.
That's not the armor, that's the suit he wears under the armor, that gives him some basic protection, but is mostly for all the other stuff you see him trying, like wading through or crawling through mud. As they say when he's putting it on, no armor has been applied yet.You try making making "an inch thick" suit skin-tight to the extent shown here... that's certainly going to be interesting to see.
Besides, whether or not it withstands thrusts is not the issue. The issue is that the author insists on saying "this thing has padding, like sensible armor, so it can reduce impact force" and then continue to draw something that can't possibly have any.
in death matches, yajin sometimes throws things like knives/spices so he has that advantage against a sword user who uses both hands for his sword, but I'd still bet on ben since he dominated this fightYajin has faced foes that gave him a challenge before, but Ben is on another level. I wonder if Yajin could have truly defeated him if it wasn't just a sparing match. 🤔
I feel like you're talking about something else entirely. Where exactly do they say that? I've got a direct quote about what I've been saying - "Sirenia hide is so tough that an iron sword won't even scratch it. And the inner hide layer can absorb some of the impact too" - are you saying he is talking about something other than what Yajin is wearing right now? My point is and always was, that the part about absorbing impact is BS, no matter how tough it is. Also, that the author insisting a skintight suit has some sort of padding layer is absurd. That's not the armor, that's the suit he wears under the armor, that gives him some basic protection, but is mostly for all the other stuff you see him trying, like wading through or crawling through mud. it's magical. from a magic hippo or walrus or something so can have nay properties author wants cause it's magical properties, not real world. This is an isekai broYou try making making "an inch thick" suit skin-tight to the extent shown here... that's certainly going to be interesting to see.
