I see what you mean, but to be fair, she IS a hybrid of a mythical creature! Kids (and way too many adults) get on each other's nerves over stupid things like you say, but if I met a dragon hybrid that you could actually talk to on a day-to-day basis, I'd be more interested in asking them if they could fly than thinking about how to avoid them or isolate them out of fear.
i went to multiple schools were the teachers condoned and participated in the bullying. dont ignore fucking context in the points made. Cliques take months to close down who they consider the in crowd in the first year of a school. Senior Cliques rarely take interest in younger classmates and senior classmates are always fished for by junior cliques. Ruri is an Anomaly with intrinsic prestige value to any clique
I was thinking the same thing. I keep seeing comments like "where's the drama", and I'm like, calm down. This is a slice-of-life manga. Not every chapter needs to have some kind of drama or conflict. While I can agree that her classmates could be taking advantage of her abilities, I don't believe it to be intentional. You have to remember, these guys are teenagers in high school, they are still learning right from wrong and about boundaries between people and Ruri has had her powers for a very short time (like a few of months). Before this she was a completely ordinary girl so she is just as in the dark/confused as her classmates and she is also learning about her own boundaries as well. It's already a step the right direction when she called out the kids calling her "Horn Girl" and said she didn't like that and had them call her by name. This story has always been and always will be about Ruri living a normal life while dealing with being half-dragon in a modern world where there isn't a need for those powers. Like being Superman in a world without any kind of supervillain or extraterrestrial threat. Sure the powers are neat and useful in certain circumstances, she doesn't NEED them to live an ordinary fulfilling life.

Kids can get bullied for being different, this much is true, especially if the bullies already don't like them for some reason. Except it's highly unusual to get bullied for some obvious talent. Like, the kids who can draw don't get bullied, they're asked for pictures. Same thing with being a fire-breathing dragon - as long as it's cool, not scary, and there isn't a clique who already hate her, there is no reason to assume bullying is inevitable.
