This all leads to the big reveal that Violet is the Goddess of Light/Bright Dawn or at least a reincarnation.

Do you know if Violet was a god in the very beginning of the story? Or did she become one later on?

Note: I have not read the novel

While translating chapter 2, the hardest part was rendering Violet's race. It was listed as 神(god/goddess/divine being/diety) in the raws. I decided to render it as "divine" for now since it'd be weird for a supposed "player" to be rendered as "god" esp in an MMORPG world. One of my other choices was "angel" (神 typically isn't used to refer to angel since there's already a word for that in chinese) since the very next chapter we see the mc with wings—but a princess of some sort asked if the mc was a 天使 (angel) so I decided against it.

If the mc is indeed a goddess since the beginning of story—do lmk and I'll make changes accordingly.

Also, I'd be nice if I can have someone who has read the LN help me render some of these stuff so it doesn't clash with the future. Do hmu if you wanna help lmao

Why does anyone care how this series was translated, as long as the quality was good and the speed of translation was fast.

I remember that it had some errors, but no more than human translators do.

Like I don't see why it matters that the previous TL hadn't outright said it was partially MTL, when it was more than decent enough if it took so long before someone went OUT OF THEIR WAY to check if MTL was involved

It matters because they were taking monthly membership fees while lying about their novel translations being MTL, then repeatedly making effort to hide that it was MTL when the fact that it was MTL was pointed out by one of their paying customers. If they were actually honest about what they were doing, nobody would have cared.

BUT, if they simply were providing translations without claiming one way or the other what method they used, then while it can be a bit annoying they weren't upfront they used some level of MTL, there is no ACTUAL issue they can be accused of

Yes, they were lying about using MTL. In the still existing forums/comments threads of the chapters they uploaded here, they repeatedly denied using MTL. They even posted a video of a portion of their process to try to prove they didn't use MTL.

When that paying customer pointed out that they left in a response line from ChatGPT despite denying they were using it here, Little Tangerine attempted damage control by replacing the entire blog post (to hide the chapter and comment), and changing the way they uploaded chapters to try to make it less obvious when a chapter is quietly replaced.

I was wondering why I felt like I read this before and now chapters were missing, and if I'm being honest, this really does just sound like someone throwing a tantrum about a bit ol nothing burger. It's also extremely funny and ironic when these chapters are already essentially pirated from the original which is illegal but the moral high ground is only when it's machine translated over human translated.
