while i agree it doesn't necessarily excuse bad behaviour, i do think her actions require understanding from people who know better, which main fl has given her. if somebody i know is going through the worst part of their life and is lashing out at people around them, i don't view that as proof they're a dick and assume that's their true nature. it's the difference between being an abuser and acting like an ass in the moment, and i think in this instance it's the latter. it's pretty much a universal human trait for people to vent when they're under immense stress, and you would have to be a literal saint to go through what frost went through and be outwardly gentle and compassionate all the time. it's also very difficult to unlearn abusive behaviour when that's all you've really been exposed to, so i find it hard to blame people who haven't had opportunities to do so like therapy or whatnot

frost HAS saved the main fl's life like, 5 or 6 times at this point. it's a bit of a reach to think that she's been nothing but cruel to her. brandishing a sword in an argument is definitely way too far, but aside from that i don't think she's been all that out of line. she has also made concessions on main fl's behalf ie. the date when she doesn't seem comfortable being outside her armor and will have to hear people slandering her black knight persona

Wow Frost needs THERAPY we've known for a while that her self image isn't the best, but literally seeing herself as unloveable on a core fundamental level isn't something we've been given much depth to so far. And boy does it go deeeep Clarice is going to have to do a lot of digging with her tongue to get through all that self loathing.
