What a FANTASTIC ride. Thank you so much for translating this series!

The genius of being able to come up with 100 different stories - all good, all reflective of the character telling it and their mental state - then wrap up the meta-story within exactly 100 chapters, AND give it such a satisfying conclusion is UNREAL. An underrated gem of a manga. Definitely looking forward to more works by this author!!

A great ending for a great manga. Aside a few of the horror stories not landing very well (they have just a chapter to fully develop after all, not all gona work 100%) and me wishing we got to know Hina's situation a little more now, i think this got be one of my favorite pieces of horror art, the overarching arc was well made, the stories were varyed and cool, the artstyle is very fitting and unique.

A big thanks to everyone that worked on the translation, editing, cleaning and hosting! It was a great work and i'm thankfull to have been able to read!

So Hina wasn't just trying to help Yuuma but was trying to get him to forget his mother and hook up with her. She's been an obsessed lunatic the entire time. I wonder what her home life is like since she would stay with Yuuma until late or even a few days at the end there with no one coming for her. This ending just brings up so many more questions. Maybe a sequel for Hina?
That's how you took that?

Lame as fuck. Huge build-up with boring conclusion. And the stories were mediocre, I skipped the last 40-50 since it was always the same kind of twists. „oH nO iT wAs a gHoSt.“
What a waste of time.
Just dont read, smh

The final candle was lit. But as it were, as it were in many cases, to snuff it out is to commence doom upon yourself. Yuma and Hina's fate was sealed, as I said before, the moment they commenced the 100 stories. Fear bubbles up and becomes the sweetest of tea, served only for the most discerning palate.
What a ride, truly. Little morsels of a bigger picture combined with tales of terror. We shall we looking forward for the author's next work.
Remember, friends - When the teapot bubbles and the last candle is blown, what will you see in the murk?

i can't even begin to describe how well done the framing story was, even though the title tells right away how this story will end, i couldn't help but wish for a happy ending. as any other anthology, there are high and low points but, overall, the stories were great and i really loved how they were used to develop the characters, either by showcasing their personality with the differences in tone between each storyteller or by hinting at their inner lives with the stories themes and symbolism. i don't know if we will get another set of hyaku monogatari but i can't wait for matono anji's next work.

if you think it was lame just accept you don't like character driven slowburn stories like this one or realize you have awful taste in manga lol
