There was a comment in the previous chapter that gave the explanation.

I think the author just likes the "irony" of calling the steely assassin by the same nickname as a Disney princess.

So maybe it just works better in JPN. Maybe I'm just suffering from something like anchoring bias, since all the TLs before have used Ash-Crowned or Ash-Smeared and I'm so used to that.
