I love how the manga reinforces that there are no bad guys at heart. One of most realistically heartwarming stories I've read in a while.

Thanks for the awesome translation.

Ugh, such a bittersweet ending to the arc. Just glad he was finally able to vent it out, but he's still a kid and it sucks that its something he has to accept. To be fair though, I think that's something where everyone has to unfortunately accept.

Am I the only one who still thinks the dad is the bad guy? this whole thing started because he chose his work over his family with it making it so he spends less and less time at work? like yea I get it some people can't just FIND a better job but like this is something that's been going on for YEARS and then eventually led to divorce so had he found a better job and spent time more with family then the divorce would have never happened so imo he is the bad person

either way I too have been crying to this peak lately, I'm so glad all the drama has been fixed

He's not asking you to get back together, he's asking you to forgive and stop hating each other. Because he loves you both.
This is the hardest part. I've tried but selfishness keep making them hate each other. I've given up now. Especially now that they are getting older and I have to decide/pick one to take care of...

All’s well that end’s well. Kinda irked they skipped some of the small talk, then again I forgot if it’s omitted in the LN or for pacing purposes.

Also Brace yourself gents, next chapter is diabetes inducing. I’m hoping manga include the LN Epilogue after the confession. Pretty different from the one from the WN
Is it from WN to LN then to manga? And each time of adaptation, there is something omitted?

I wish the venting took more panels, rather than in one take of one panel, so we can jump between panels, creating illusion of slow pace scene. With such panel, it's like he's venting so quickly. However, I don't know how it is presented in LN, maybe that's how he talk, and there is pages limit in manga.

Still, a good chapter showing the growth of Maki. I thought at least the parents will say something about his action.

Pretty much, WN is mostly a rough draft and LN is the definitive version. Manga and the upcoming anime is an adaptation that follows the LN for the most part. It depends on the adaptation if they change or omit stuff or stay faithful.

Kuranika (this series) manga for the most part is pretty faithful but there’s some changes that were not in the LN. Biggest one was probably the near end of cultural festival, most of the stuff doesn’t happened in a day like in the manga but in the LN/WN, it was multiple days. Most of the changes in the manga though are either they omit some of the small talk just for pacing and some inner dialogues became spoken dialogue instead.

The changes in this part iirc from the WN there’s much more small talk (Mom and Dad backtalk each other)

mote like LN gets polished and, in most cases, have added content, but yeah usually manga is more brief.

The venting part was mostly the same, just a bit more... the ommited part was more the parents and the father's girlfriend which is a bit sad. It was an interesting interaction that added a bit more to why they broke up on the first place.

Maki finally able to move on, even for just one step forward.

Funny that his dad's new partner became a human tripod for this touching milestone in his life, especially how Amami just said, "Just press the shutter" to her.

Anyone noticing how he straight out said he likes Umi?

I might misremember, but I think, he never told her that she's already more than a friend for him (and the other way around), so I expect nice things from the coming chapters.
