Fantasy has steadily declined into a disappointing genre with every title I've read in the last three years. Adventuring parties often banish the one character who eventually proves to be overpowered, while kings and nobles take reckless actions that jeopardize their entire kingdoms. Furthermore, the abilities bestowed by the church on main characters can turn them into figures of ridicule, only to later transform into overwhelmingly powerful skills. And let's not forget the repetitive imitation of Solo Leveling. The writing is absolutely terrible. I could understand if the authors were young, but it's the editors' responsibility to repeatedly steer them away from publishing such poor-quality work.

Also, can we please stop with these main characters who show no sexual or romantic feelings for any women in fantasy just because they want to be good guys? Who on earth told these writers that this is how a good male lead should behave?

Well, it's mostly related to Real Life scenario of how people's talent are wasted because others don't appreciate it or don't give the person a chance or people never learn what their real talent is.

Then there is also the Real Life scenario of being under/un-appreciated or taken advantage of, and when they are not needed they are just kicked out (best example is of how in current market big companies easily fire thousands of employees whenever it seems convenient for them).

This genre of "xxx fired for being yyy, but is actually OP" is basically a self-insert fantasy of finding a way to coup with the situation of being labeled useless by the society.

Japanese Readers.
They like these kind-off MC's more, as they believe being gentlemen like is the ideal way to live.
Which is why, in majority of cases MC's are like that, and only a few series have MC's were they are openly active towards sexual conduct.

I mean just take the example of the series "Loner Life in Another World".
Both the Web Novel & Light Novel showcases MC having sexual relationship with the girls around him (though LN is more downgraded in that aspect compared to WN).
But both the Manga & Anime adaptation is completely against any sexual conduct and keep it all family-friendly.
