Tbh, that's very much normal. It's from his pov. Which in case you haven't noticed is entirely lock on the mamas in the game so he couldn't care less about the young girls. So as a former player of the game why would he ever need to give a damn about basically npc flavor text? Sure, now that he's in game that's gonna come back to bit him in the ass. But we haven't got there yet which make this a complete normal and consistent with his character.

as a few of us notice and has been corrected now, he's specifically referring to that heroine's mom being cute as the one thing he knows about them. Rather than just being on point for him, it does continue to show just how little interest he had in the plot and characters outside of the mothers and how any conflict with them will probably be out of his own disinterest in them rather than the usual "say I'm not gonna mess with the plot then immediately fuck it up" that we usually get.

I would agree with you if he actually got punished for his attitude down the line (he won't), a series that's meant to be comedic doesn't work if there's only 1 joke
