what? have you never seen a lesbian in real life??😭
i've seen enough lesbians in real life, yeah.
however, the main character of this manga has been shapeshifting.
take the chapter in which they kiss and compare it to the first chapter.

i... don't see the difference? the artist just draws eyes bigger. they literally just changed their artstyle koga looks completely fine?? also i find it funny how you say 'looks like a guy,' koga very much still looks like a girl, she's just more masculine? i don't understand what you mean by 'looks like a guy.'

lol? i'm genuinely confused about this response, you don't think girls could look or act masculine? i'm really confused on why you dislike koga's character design saying there are 'zero feminine traits.' genuinely curious.

you are acting dumb on purpose aren't you?
very similar to most people who like this manga, i see a pattern.
i told you before, i asked you to compare koga chapter 1 against koga in later chapters.
i told you how she looks like she had surgery / transformed into a guy, she no longer looks like a girl the way she used to.
that's what i take issue with, the art style taking a nosedive and the main girl turning into a guy, i already told you this so why do you keep asking?
it's better for you to stay silent and keep enjoying this nonsensical manga.

for the 4th time, compare the first chapter design to the current design.
i'm done here, stop replying, you've asked the same question 5 times now and i'm pretty much out of patience.

Okay so I get what you’re complaining about lol. Yes, Koga is appearing more masculine. It’s because she’s feeling more comfortable with herself and expressing her style. There’s a chapter that explains that she was made fun of when she was younger, but now that she’s more comfortable with herself, she’s expressing what she wants to look like. She’s butch, I think it’s refreshing to see that for once.

Also, the manga is literally called “The GUY I was interested in wasn’t a guy at all”

if you're fine with the messaging in this manga, and the betrayal of the main character's identity, then be my guest.
it started off as a manga about a girl, who slowly fell in love with another girl.
that girl in turn was finally able to come out of her shell, and be more herself.

.. but it never should've meant that becoming her true self would mean that she kinda turns into a guy in the end.
that's the opposite of being yourself, that's literally turning into something else to fit the narrative.

i hate it.

How is this "turning into something else to fit the narrative"? It was shown very early on in the chapter called "Rhythm B" that Koga always liked to wear masculine clothes and do her hair in a masculine way, however she soon found out that that lead to her getting to trouble in school and she would get attention she didn't want, so she started dressing more feminine in school, but at home, she would still dress in a masculine way (evidenced by the fact that Aya thought she was a guy when she first me her).

However there was an arc in which Koga got unwanted attention in school again (when the video of her playing guitar went viral, and then when the jerk ass bully decided to show her art to the class without her permission). This time however Aya stood up to her and that made Koga realize that she now felt more comfortable dressing masculine in public as well, since now she had a support network of friends.

So in that sense, Koga dressing more masculine is actually her embracing her sense of style and self that she surpressed to the public all those years ago, it is by defintiion her "embracing her true self"

If you disagree, please explain how "it never should've meant that becoming her true self would mean that she kinda turns into a guy in the end. that's the opposite of being yourself, that's literally turning into something else to fit the narrative." don't just say that with no explanation.

i explained it a million times to that empty-headed socks guy above.
it's not just her clothes or her hair, her face and her eyes also changed in the art style to be more masculine.
to me, that's betraying the character period.

i read manga with a yuri tag first and foremost, and i don't want to see a female character become a guy.
it's clear that the artist of this manga enjoys western values, and the results of the story confirm this.
if you enjoy that, good for you, i certainly don't.
