The Jewish part is relevant. The series is dripping with Jewish iconography and narratives.
There is zero chance the author hasn't done or isn't in the conversion process. Based on a few things I think they're doing Orthodox or Conservative/Masorti but with all the queerness I am guessing the latter.

here's the thing though; the sign closer to the curtains says "closed general admission".

we don't know whether that entails "~60% of demons can still ask to see it and make reservations", or it's a "literally only The Three Greats / Demon King are allowed, no one else" situation.

1. If it's the latter, then I think it doesn't beggar belief whatsoever that it's a working portal. only a select, very few demons know about it, so why can't it be in the museum again?

2. if access to it is limited and security is tight (barring our MC Iruma doing the unexpected as always and shenanigans will ensue and probably, eventually, he'll see it), no other demons' view of humans will be altered by it. most demons won't even be able to see the gate probably.

3. and Netherworld history is rich, going back very long years. If the human world was relevant in the past, why wouldn't there be a gate to it? Sure, public perception and opinions in this series sometimes say "some demons thinks humans are a myth or aren't real", but people who run a museum are above such public knowledge. After all, they are the ones who have some authority, little they may be, to be educating the masses, no? Before deciding what to put and what to write, people who deal with history and records are the ones who are closest to the truth of everything.

4. if it's the best museum ever in the netherworld, I'd also think they have top security and can be entrusted with even things this "dangerous", no matter how much of a bad idea you think it is. hence this supports #2

but let's acknowledge again we are in an internet forum. you won't change a stranger's mind, and a stranger won't be able to change your mind. Seeing some of your replies here, that last bit is true. You still think it's dumb and impossible that it works. Which is fine, it's okay to have theories, that's what's fun about being a fan. But you must also let others have THEIR theories. Stephen King is easy reading, and The Shining is a good book. The energy of it matches your mood.
Alternatively "Becoming Eve" by Rav Abby Stein is a decent non-fiction. The drastically different energy could be a nice change of pace. I found it very obvious outside her being raised Hasidic, but it's not covering new ground. Historical significance tho.

I've been enjoying Angband. The Android port is probably the best version, unless you use an iPhone it's the best way to play it. The Gervais tileset is my recommendation on graphics if ASCII isnyfor you.
Warframe is a good time once you get into it.

You seem to be into raging, so FromSoftware games might be up your alley. Bloodborne is one of the best games ever.
Yoko Taro makes cool shit. The first Drakengard game is frustrating and edgy. Right up your alley. I recommend the undub patch for it, tho. Better casting, and if one knows Japanese it makes up for the religious censorship.

Suspiria is a good film, but films aren't gonna replace something this long, unless you're watching the Pink Panther or Fast & Furious series.
The Jason Bourne movies are fun!
