Thats a fun twist on the setup for this kind of story.
Very mucy feels like the kind of thing that should be just a good sized oneshot though. How do you make this an actual story?
Like okay so for the first 10-20 chapters you can keep the plot going because it will take some time for the heroes to meet up with the MC. Then you can squeeze another 10-20 chapters out of gag reasons that keep interrupting their reunion.
But eventually those gag reasons and that time delay will become more and more annoying, and the second the MC meets the heroes all conflict in the story is instantly resolved. Unless you do some SERIOUS dumb bullshit.
I guess put like that though a neat compact light 30-50ish chapter story could be okay. A few volumes and call it done. Just don't overstay the premise
