Jeez... I initially read all the avaiable stuff a couple of years ago. I was just now updating all my locally stored manga and finally arrived at T for Tondemo, but... Im absolutely shocked that it's still only got 9 volumes plus some ungrouped chapters!

This is moving even slower than Berserk, ugh...
The anime is gonna be here soonish.
Season 2 ... is gonna overrun the manga hard.

LN is alot further in, ya should read it if ya can't wait. It's relaxing.

From what I can find around the internet no one knows when the manga will continue as it's been on a pseudo hiatus this whole time, so it's unknown when or even if it will continue as far as I know, I may have misread something but that's my take on things.

I am genuinely confused how this is rated as high as it is. It's an extremely basic slow life isekai, with a bland wet noodle of a protagonist, basically 0 world building, a meandering plot with no goals, no noteworthy characters, or really anything special about it at all. Yet it's rated almost as highly as Archmage's Restaurant, which frankly is already better than this manga solely as a cooking manga, nevermind all its other qualities.

My guy, have you read enough of it to learn about Sui yet? Because that explains everything.
I have actually, posted that a bit after meeting the pixie dragon. And I will grant you, Sui is a fun character, but if I'm being real Sui by itself is about a 7/10 character for me. If it is enough for this many people to rate the manga 9-10 then good for them and I'm glad they are happy, but I genuinely do not understand. And most of the time when a series is rated as high as 8.88 on this site it's because it has a lot going for it.
Though, thinking about this, I did notice that a lot of series I've thought were weirdly highly rated in the past also had a "cute and inoffensive" thing going for them, so is that it?

Mmmmm... I reluctantly give this one 8/10.
It's fairly average in most respects, and most of the plot developments and gimmicks are well-known, but the art is nice, the plot is executed well, such as it is, and I do actually enjoy it every time I re-read it from the beginning.

The MC gets isekaied as a hanger-on to the actually desired heroes (cliché #1),
gets out of town ASAP because the King seems sketchy AF (cliché #2),
his Skill lets him shop with gold coins in Japanese supermarkets (cliché #3),
his focus is just mostly eating a lot of delicious food (cliché #4),
he manages to get the services of a haughty OP Fenrir (cliché #5),
and of a cutesy slime which nevertheless grows pretty OP (cliché #6),
and there's a bunch of Gods watching him because he's amusing (cliché #7).

Now, in fairness, while it wasn't first with these in 2016 or so, it was an early adopter, gave the gimmicks tweaks which are still copied to this day, and it executes the package well. The characters generally have personalities, and are fun to read about.

Overall, you could certainly read worse.

Honestly, the more I read about the protag, he does infuriate me, however, I still enjoy the manga, more so because of the cooking aspect. Don't really get much without some sort of drama. Admittedly, I am looking this manga as a way to get not as scared of cooking, so jotting down the recipes he's done in a notebook and going to make an attempt myself with the ingredients that I can find.
I won't lie, I did go looking for the novel, and finally found a digital edition from my local library, so wish me luck on how that will be.
