I don't read stuff like that to have blameless protagonists, I want them to be sympathetic enough that I can still cheer for them despite them doing crazy fucked up stuff, as long as I can get why they ended up doing that fucked up stuff.

Let's not forget that Maria tortured several teenagers to death. Maria rekindling her love with her ex-husband is something I can happy about.

I'm just hoping it doesn't turn into a Juujika no Rokunin situation where after killing all the original antagonists, they just move onto another group of antagonists, and then those ones die, and then they move onto yet another group of antagonists. And it just never ends because there's always someone new to fuck over the MC.

And it honestly looks like that's what's going to happen, so here's my prediction:

Given what's happened within the last few chapters—the husband getting close to Maria again and the criminal group being introduced—if they end up killing the husband, it'll just create more "revenge fodder" to keep the series going. After that, fatso will die and Maria will now go after the husbands killers. Which, judging from the last panel, have been instigated by the main fuckhead.

I have no doubt this is what's gonna happen.

I really doubt that. I heard recent volume sales aren't good, so publisher will probably allow it to end naturally with this or next arc, and that's it.

Pity that Rokunin didn't get axed, seems like some people liked it enough to keep buying the volumes even after it turn utterly awful.

It's actually really common for couples who lose a child to divorce, due to differences in the grieving process of both people, but recalling how they broke up, it didn't really feel like there was a rift between them. I feel for him a bit, considering how common his story is (being a man blindsided by divorce, divorcing after losing a child) but how to him, who was in the marriage, it's clear none of the typical reasons those things happen apply to his situation. But anyone he talks to will just go 'Yeah yeah, that's what EVERY guy in your situation would say....🙄'
