Honestly his reaction to her clear advances with deadpan responses and flat out refusals is refreshing, every time a legit adult man gets put in situations like this in manga they flip and go full virgin mode regardless of the circumstances like a punchline that doesn’t fit the joke

Yes he’s clearly still flustered by an attractive girl coming onto him but he acts like he has some sense, it’s unfortunate that he’s (probably) going to sleep with her anyway eventually but it’s a little refreshing to see an MC put up enough resistance to make it seem like there was actually a chance it wouldn’t

He so far got "acknowledgement" from Mio brother Keito that he may be around her (who was drunk at the fireworks party) NOT Mio mother.

So far Keito knows only that he is keeping her safe, trying to show how "normal human life" is, not that they're in a romantic relationship or less.

There's no "special circumstances", she is a normal human that just so happens to turn into a cat at night, she age just like normal human being.

Moreover, Mio is lacking in any sense of personal intimacy, due to being kidnapped by a pedophile she was sheltered and doesn't know how things are, she wasn't most likely told the thing she experienced was wrong.
