Well that's that. It's a fine ending for what it was. I was expecting them to leave what happened more up in the air to keep us guessing , which I almost thought happened but the author decided to spare us that mess.

I'd say that I've enjoyed this manga, could of been more but for what it was it's good.

Thanks for the chapter, thanks for working on this manga.:salute:

I'm confused. Did they do it or not? It's not important in the sense that I want to see it, but I remember them saying, or at least implying, that she needed to sleep with him before turning 18 or risk staying a cat forever.

The implications of that detail are unpleasant in a series like this, especially with Iori being an adult and Mi-chan being a minor in human years, so I can see why they dropped it. But it leaves a gaping plot hole in its place.

There are two more pages and a few bonus photos and illustrations in the Volume 4 release that comes after the final/the end page of Chapter 26 which removes the ambiguity of the ending. I'm including them below.

Hopefully this can be included in a future translation as chapter 26.1 along with the bonus illustrations.
It is clear though that the manga was axed after 4 volumes, given that there is at least 4-6 chapters/one volume's worth of content that is included in the final chapter as just a slideshow with time-skips and no dialogue, perhaps even a school arc. Still a decent enough ending.

It looks like they walked back on the urgency of that given what Mio's brother said about there being a lag/transition after turning 18yo until they are permanently stuck as cats. There's a panel in this chapter that takes place on her 18th birthday where she's naked and staring out the window, presumably after she turned human again at sunrise, but before she has actually done the deed. And then there's the last two pages of the volume posted above that seem to take place in some future timeline where she's human, still living with Iori, and have a cat they adopted together, so come to your own conclusions with that.

Gotcha, I just saw your above screenshots. I will choose to believe they did do the deed, but just off-screen, while including subtle hints in the final chapter to show the author didn't entirely forget about it.

One of the endings of all time.

At least we got some Tagu-chan on the way out <3

If I got a nickel for every manga I've read where the (warning spoilers ahead for the sauce below) FMC was named Mii-chan - could turn into a cat - had an MC that was obsessed with cats - and when they get together they end up adopting a cat, I'd have two nickels, which isn't a lot, but it's weird it's happened twice. This was fine and inoffensive with the most expected ending

obligatory sauce:
Neko no te Datte Yaku ni Tatsu
I forgot about one....
but not that the the author ate a churu so she could confirm it would taste ok to humans.

So they didn't show them having sex? Guess that's that.
But that sucks, imagine you get a cat and it turns into a human and you gotta have sex with it to make it stay as the superior species, it would be unethical to make it stay as a creature with a lower lifespan.
And you gotta have sex with them while they're still minors, that double sucks.
It'll be all like "Aww man, I gotta fuck a cat now. And a minor cat on top of that."
I wouldn't be able to do it to my cat, it's gotta fuck someone else and then I'm just gonna get a new cat that doesn't turn into a human.
Also lesbians don't count? That triple sucks, guess they gotta get cucked by a man then.
And do male cats have to have sex with male humans to stay humans as well? That quadruple sucks, guess you gotta be gay now.
That's a fucked up world to be living in, glad that cats don't turn into humans in real life.

They must've but author chickened out on outright stating it.
Evidence is Mii-chan calling it cheating at him sniffing their pet cat. Theres no way he wouldve gotten another girl, specially with her still being his pet
Seems they did it on her birthday, at least.

an age gap romance that doesn't end on a time skip?
It's surprising but the ending does everything it can to avoid addressing the fact that they fucked

Thank you for the translation! Too bad the series was rushed. The concept was interesting and I enjoy the art. Hopefully the author continues to make series in the future.
