Childhood friends are meant to betray, that's the setting. As I expected, it's not just the one Childhood Friend that causes him trouble, now there's THREE OF THE FUCKERS. WOW. PEAK CREATIVE STORYTELLING MOMENTS.

Yeah, looks like these comments covered it. Jesus Christ Shion almost murdered a bunch of kids to lure out and kill her childhood friend who is the entire reason she joined a cult for, like…???? She is so fucking cooked.I think what's going on here is that the actual cult is making Shion's organization out to be the Cult in order to gaslight Oliver and Orun... but Shion's organization isn't exactly helping their case considering all the murdering they've done based on their own paranoia.
"Adventurers are becoming powerful, must be some scheme by a cult"Wtf is this logic behind Shion's gang???
I didn't follow Fairy Tail through, but I assume that there was some setup of this cult deal? Like provided that it's a real thing that Orn and the Hero are being cultivated by some sinister cult in order to... I guess defeat the dungeon? And that does something bad???Okay so, call me a noob at storytelling, but how exactly is that a bad thing? Iirc, didn't the same thing happened with Fairy Tail? (Zeref, cults, etc.)
because as far as i read it, she only joined because she thought that Orn was Dead. To Avenge him and the other Villagers. Since he isnt Dead, she now has justified Doubts about what information she gets."We are murdering innocent possible threats to the world!"
"Oh shit we nearly killed a childhood friend."
Me:... are you kidding me? you are fine to kill strangers but as soon it comes to someone you know.. you get in doubt?
Don't worry about the haters, there will always be haters, just write what you want. Even if they are reused tropes. Tropes exist for a reason, and as long as the story is entertaining people like me will read it. (Edit also I'm looking forward to the tournament arc)Okay so, call me a noob at storytelling, but how exactly is that a bad thing? Iirc, didn't the same thing happened with Fairy Tail? Probably those shady guys who support Oliver's clan. The sponsor of rabbit clan could be one of them too?Does this "cult" even exist?
Tropes are not the problem here.Don't worry about the haters, there will always be haters, just write what you want. Even if they are reused tropes. Tropes exist for a reason, and as long as the story is entertaining people like me will read it. (Edit also I'm looking forward to the tournament arc)
What do you mean? That wasn't the guild master. The only other reference to this cyclamen cult was ch26 when the name wasn't even mentioned and the face popped up. The guild master is a completely different guy and when did they ever feel shady?they really need to explain this cult bs. while the guild master looked shady before, it's not enough to explain why defeating all dungeons is bad. i truly hope they won't extend this secret cult plot forever only ever giving us some hints.
It seems like the "Hero" and his family are members of a cult/shadow organization, and would have attempted to indoctrinate Orn if they thought he was useful. Childhood friend is ALSO likely in a rival cult/foreign nation, but now thinks Orn is part of the cult (I don't think we've actually seen evidence of him being in the cult, just them saying "He's not useful. Don't bother with him.")why are they referring to eachother as cults?, who tf is actually in a cult I’m confused as fck😑
Unnecessary mind fucks in my opinion 🙄It seems like the "Hero" and his family are members of a cult/shadow organization, and would have attempted to indoctrinate Orn if they thought he was useful. As far as we know, they are BOTH in cults, but don't view them as cults.
The one-eyed guy is the Grand Master (of all of the guilds, I guess). And "shady" doesn't appear to even start to cover it.What do you mean? That wasn't the guild master. The only other reference to this cyclamen cult was ch26 when the name wasn't even mentioned and the face popped up. The guild master is a completely different guy and when did they ever feel shady?

Vengeance is rarely logical or even sane.because as far as i read it, she only joined because she thought that Orn was Dead. To Avenge him and the other Villagers. Since he isnt Dead, she now has justified Doubts about what information she gets.
