Did you read chapter 37? In it, Drako says that she didn't even kiss Julius. When she says 'I did all sorts of things to gather evidence,' she's referring to cooperating with Julius in his plan to get Washio fired — not implying that she had her cheeks clapped.

I'm glad I'm not the only one confused by people thinking she had snunu with Julius. It was hinted at in one chapter and then shut down in ch. 37 lol

First retcon in it was becuase author was about to have UB teacher ntr, second was because the author REALLY wanted to draw a threesome. The third (expected) retcon is because mcs childhood friend is (probably) banging a playboy.

Yeesh.

As a fellow comic artist I understand changing your mind with story stuff later on, but flip-flopping too much and/or committing it into writing before thinking things through is bad. 😅

Though admittedly, I haven't done any serious writing retcons, although I had to "retcon" some character designs by simplifying them since it was starting to become a pain to draw them.

Regarding the first comment suggesting the manga might get axed—I doubt it. According to Shoseki Ranking, the first volume, released on 2025/01/23, sold an estimated 8,523 physical copies in its first month. I also saw a post on X from the author mentioning that it had a reprint. Unless the second volume turns out to be a complete sales disaster, I don't think it's at risk of being axed.

Also, If I’m not mistaken, chapter 38 comes out tomorrow, so I might have a spoiler by Thursday.

For the record I was being facetious, I don't think they actually did anything. I just think it's funny the author laid all the groundwork for a plot reminiscent of a bad "I did it to protect you!" NTR story and is now scrambling to save Drakos character after the backlash.

What made it 10/10? The girls looked nice, the premise maybe, but
1) The fact that it was Isekai added nothing 2) The MC was a wimp for no good reason disrepected by everyone that acts like a timid schoolboy despite his age 3) This series has been going since...late 2023? And what meaningful goals have reached beside introducing the girls and the occasional sheninigan used as a pretext to disrepect the MC more and finally this whole pointless mind control arc.

People are really easily pleased as seen with a lot Isekai's manga when most are mediocre or clearly flawed in someway

Case and point: Arifureta's popularity.

Aside from Vampire and Bunny-girl, the rest of the harem makes no sense whatsoever:

• His homeroom teacher falls in love with him because... he's strong and an asshole?
• His childhood friend already liked him but now he's strong and an asshole?
• Mermaid-mommy had her daughter rescued and wants him to give her more children now?? Because he's strong and an asshole?
• Dragon is a hardcore M and loves him because he used a Piledriver (magnet propelled spike) into her asshole and he's also an asshole.

I'm sure I'm forgetting more, but the entire MC's personality is "I'm an asshole because I was betrayed so no one matters" and every woman in a 300km radius is instantly ready to bear his children when he says "my life is so hard" or some other edgelord line while trying to be Dante from DMC and blowing monster heads off. IIRC the teacher fell for him shortly after he tried to kill (or did kill? It's been over 10 years) his bully. It's the worst example of self-insert I've seen and while it started strong with the dungeon and vampire into forest and bunny girl, it quickly nosedived into cringey mid edgelord fest
