Man, if MC had just told ONCE to his ex what his monthly salary was...
The story is so forced it removes the fun until the idiots karma hits them.
Yeah, is better that the spoiled bitch is out of his life, but think how if he talked to her like he did to this JK one day in their whole relationship she wouldn't have cheated...probably.

No, he genuinely is just a moron that refused to ever communicate anything.
She wasn't even like actively trying to trade up as much as she was just worried that this guy had a dead end job since he stopped telling her he was getting promotions, since he hit the max SSS, and never elaborated WHY.

The guy is a really stupid moron, there's no point in giving him the benefit of a doubt ever.

How does no one in the adventurer's guild recognize their most powerful and famous adventurer?

I wonder how quickly shit will escalate behind the scenes because it's not like being stripped of his rank changes his actual value, skills, and equipment as an adventurer. The Adventurer's Guild and definitely his old guild will be rightly concerned over how their guild got literally disbanded overnight and how he isn't on the listings as an adventurer. Even if this stupid idiot MC says that he was considering retiring, THERE IS STILL LEGAL PAPERWORK FOR TRANSFERRING OWNERSHIP IN SITUATIONS LIKE THIS YOU F**KING BUFFOON AND PEOPLE WILL BE CONCERNED IF YOU DON'T SAY ANYTHING.

I already said as much over in the 2.1 version of this chapter:

If she hates adventurers so much, why is she working as a receptionist for the Adventurer's Guild? I can at least understand if some moron bigwig like the dude in the first chapter might not know who the MC is (even though he really should), why in the hell doesn't the receptionist? She clearly knows the guy at some level since she immediately starts talking shit about him, did she never once interact with him in a way that would inform her of just how stupidly strong he is? Never had the MC turning in a quest with some dragon bones or something to show him killing extremely tough monsters?

Hell she's got that computer right in front of her, is there NOTHING in that system that has EVER told her "hey this guy is an SSS rank adventurer"? Does the MC's ID card just not say anything about his rank either?

This story is the kind that's so frustrating to read because it can only unfold the way it does if everyone involved is massively stupid - and that includes the me who continues to read it.

The only things I wanna add with the second half of the chapter:

1. For a positive note, it's neat that they have high-end adventuring gear that auto-fits to the wearer, I know some D&D systems will have that for their magical items so that people don't have to worry about it being the wrong size.

2. The 20 BILLION YEN MONTHLY INCOME is so fucking absurd, it obliterates any complaints I previously had about "how the fuck does nobody at this Adventurer's Guild know this guy?" Not sure when this manga was made so I'm basing off current yen-to-dollar conversion rates - that's a MONTHLY INCOME of $140,219,000 USD, possibly $1,682,628,000 USD PER YEAR! Now granted, it's certainly reasonable to say that as an adventurer his income is probably not all that regular - maybe he doesn't always make 20 billion yen every month, and maybe his pay is normally lower. Not like it matters though, since he immediately points out that that's just the amount that was directly paid into his account, and that he's got way more wealth than that. At this point I have to flip my argument back over to that douchebag exec from the first chapter - how the FUCK does he not know who this guy is???

3. I dunno if anyone else thinks this way, but the MC taking the shittalk from the receptionist right to his face and then turning around and saying (to someone else, out of earshot) "oh yeah well I make eleventy billion dollars so I'm actually not a loser" is the most loser cope shit I've heard in a hot minute. The fact that he feels he needs to brag to a high school girl just makes him look even worse.

I got called a loser but I actually get 20 billion a month... :haa: :haa: is the guy trying to groom the clearly bankrupt JK without a place to stay??

couldn't he have done the same last chapter were he lost his supposed love of his life.

look those noobs getting injured, don't worry it can happen but I will protect you... vs... "hey b!tch pass me your card to fire you from your job"
MC: Okay :fml::fml:

I'm laughing so hard. At the author.
Cause this shit is so bad I can't even imagine who the author is.

And honestly the MC boasting about his income to a POOR STUDENT is so cringe I have no words. Like, I'm rubbing it into your face...
But hey you can do it too!
No she cannot, because you're the only SSS hunter in the world and other hunters, I suppose, don't even earn a tiny fraction of that.

Is he trying to seduce the schoolgirl by telling her: yo I'm rich, wanna fuck?
(I know he's not cause he's the "nice guy" doormat retarded MC. I'm just pointing out how absurd this all is)

Well, that escalated quickly.

First thing in the morning, an elite staff has an authority to revoke the top ranker's license.

Now a mere receptionist is suddenly able to blacklist the said former top ranker for life.

What's next, a doorman or a janitor suddenly having the authority to kill blacklisted adventurers at his own sole discretion despite being trigger-happy?

Just imagine the dialogue: “I've come to accompany a novice adventurer getting an admission permit…” — “You know what, man, not just Kaori, but the whole world would be better without you, and I've got this guild-provided anti-materiel rifle that conveniently negates your invisible 50-million-worthy magic armor. Say your last words!”

Would be totally believable at this point if not for the plot armor.

But that's exactly it, the guild system in Japan is a disgrace, totally disorganized

After they found out he was on the blacklist, a world assembly was needed to get him off. An external representative saw how serious the situation in Japan was and didn't even understand how the MC and his guild had prospered.

The MC wanted to retire, but the top brass of the national guild pressured him to stay active. The guy who stole the MC's fiancée was from a minor regional guild. The receptionist too. The MC didn't care about being excluded or being put on the blacklist, because he wanted to retire and live his life, and he made life difficult for the people who wanted him to return to active duty.

Thanks for the chapter.

There's nothing wrong with multiple people/groups translating the same thing.
The people who cry about sniping are usually the ones who take a manga hostage.
Eh, as a leeching reader I find one specific kind of snipers annoying. The ones that not only snipes by posting faster, but also tries to prohibit others from translating it at all by getting a license~ Almost 100% of original tls quit a series once that happens~
:dogkek:

Jokes aside, I do actually find them annoying when they translate slower than the original tl, too. Or worst, that + doesn't resume from the chapter where original tl left off.

Chapter 2.1 has better font and no random font size changes.

Because of this, it makes this upload seem rushed and poor quality. Some bubbles have text so small I have to use Magnify just to read it and others are hard to read because the Bold font blends together, making it difficult to read just on its own but with font size changes makes it just a black blob.

Edit: just went back to compare the 2 versions and this honestly seems like a ripoff from the group

Gonna be honest, I really appreciate full chapters instead of the x.1, x.2 stuff that so many series do. I guess it's because they want to ensure higher quality but like its kind of a buzzkill reading only like 10 pages or so.
