Everyone only sees that which is convenient to them. All living things are like that.
I'm not sure whether to be annoyed or pleased the skinsuit monster is emphasizing humility about its narrow perspective.
With the tiny bits of blushing and her looking away it gives the illusion she's ignoring her own inconvenient emotions. Which circles back to mutual romance writing, and will-they-won't-they, and subverting those moments. Which she and the premise make very difficult to cheer for.
(Not impossible

)
We're halfway through the series and don't have any strong evidence if Takahashi is mostly feigning emotions as she claims, or if she can love up to the vibes of some moments with Itou and the covers. Which requires some relatively human emotions. I'm expecting this to get developed too rapidly if it rises beyond screwing with Itou's head.
At least she's less likely to kill the girl entangled with her?
Also the real Takahashi's death is suspiciously close to what a creature would arrange for its clone split or offspring. Just enough cover up to make it seem like free real estate, and free intel. It'd make Takahashi morally simpler so I hope it's not some delusion she's the whole ancient serial killer being. She sees what she wants to though, like the implications of free stuff at perfect timing.
