Noble women didn't get the death penalty that often.

The classic method would be "voluntary" seclusion in a convent, to be eventually married off to some convenient lower noble with Promise needing familial ties higher up. Either as a responsibility of the family head, or by royal decree.
Maintains the bloodline, strengthens relations within the Kingdom, and part of the "Promising" bit is that the Noble in question is full well aware what he's marrying, why, and his duty to deal with it.

Alternatively, same principle, but higher up the pecking order, married into a rival faction by decree to take them down a peg because of the associated guilt.

Either way, the stupid biatch would be no more than a brood mare with few rights and privileges.
The Dynastic Game is....rather brutal...
