Shinba definitely can't catch a break, even when he was trying to be a decent boyfriend for once, he gets btfo'd at his own game... being a loser, and by the first love who rejected him.
Still he's gonna have his chance to shine in few chapters.
And for those who are reading the raws, new chapter gonna be out in the next hours. The incestuous big titty older sis who looks more of a loser than him will finally see Shinba again

Unironically this is almost tragic, she did seem to love him since they were kids, and while her refusing out of tsundereness would rightfully earn her scorn I can't help but notice it's obviously caused by her wretch of a mother. If our MC wasn't already in a relationship, I'd even be rooting for her.
Most love rivals are trash to fill up the plot but I think there's something genuinely heart wrenching about what's going to be happening here.
Also I liked the expressions changing on the ear ring doll.

It's okay to be honest and reject someone you no longer feel the same way about as before, but saying that he has a masculine side when a few seconds later he'll probably go back to being a pathetic guy, for me it just gives me the feeling of the manga Rent a Girlfriend but without the renting part.

Shinba's oneechan (named Onesho-sensei, social media account is named ONESYOTA_goat, guess what's the pun there) is an absolute incest freak, she is trying some clothes combination that could make Shinba like her or something similar, however, honestly, she looks like a jirai-onna, then in college, she's trying to recruit fans of her favorite H series about a brocon oneechan trying to get advices to seduce her bro, and her world crumbles when one of her classmates mentions the possibility of him having a girlfriend. She can't believe that shit.
Shinba and Hizumi go to see a Metalman movie, it's revealed they didn't have sex, all bc Shinba felt he could gonna die if he went beyond the kiss he gave to her in ch 16.2. Hizumi comments how it was surprising the final villain was MC's older sis. Shinba starts having vietnam flashbacks about his weird oneechan,,calls her humongous and scary and mentions how she always ruined his chances to get closer to Miyabi when he was a kid, and Hizumi, after hearing such a description, thinks Shinba's old sis is a delinquent, goes protective gf mode vowing to protect Shinba, but they didn't realize Shinba's sis was stalking them, horrified at verifying her fears. Hizumi notices her and introduces her as Shinba's Hizumi, making oneechan even more scared

Last chapter was far better produced. It probably wasn't as impactful because of the 3 audience insert characters that took up half the chapter.
