Huh? Am I living in the past or something? Is this chapter only delayed for me?
Edit: nvm, I tried dual-booting Linux so it messed up my Windows clock. Now I can read it.

iirc The reason is because they different system time formats, I can't remember properly but I remember being able to change the format that linux uses to stop that from happening. A quick internet search says that 'timedatectl set-local-rtc 1' in the linux terminal will fix the issue.

Think about how the slime turned around ound Jelly's life, the peddler could have been a bad peddler but then the slime took her knowledge andafe her really good.

Nah, they get stuff like poison immunity, super strength, etc. They're still slimes inside, and can release slime minions and such. Since the body is still considered alive and everything, surely could get pregnant, but whether they'd accidently send slime into it making it some percentage of non-human would be the bigger question.

Huh, I had been strongly suspecting that Lumir was actually the goddess, and she was trying to fix the poor choice in saintess by essentially having that saintess 'replaced'. Guess that guess was wrong.


However, given that Lumir is being secretive about how she possessed the body, and she also feels a bit less... slime like, in terms of attitude, I wonder if she actually might still be human and I am right, but she was acting as a messenger of god, rather than god itself... or that could all be cope, and I can't let go of my theory.

the slimes of this world seem pretty stupid, it seems unlikely that a human would be tricked in to getting killed by one.

Well, considering my understanding of how this works is that slimes are basically like a parasite re-animating and then piloting the corpse of a human, I’d assume that all of its bodily functions work the same.

Better question is, if the original Jelly is technically a re-animated dead body, wouldn’t having sex with Slime!Jelly be considered necrophilia? Food for thought.

It's also funny how Jelly's always stress eating. Both her real self and her imagined self were stuffing their faces while she was imagining a dire situation.

Jokes aside, Jelly is actually a pretty good landowner at this point, no? She's popular, she cares for the people, and left without the host's memories she can't do paperwork very well anymore but she's still working hard to get better at it.

I guess slimes aren't just adaptable on the outside. Lumir might be a peddler but she seems used to dealing with aristocracy and deals only in true rarities, clearly she has multiple patrons and isn't a common market peddler.

It makes me wonder, if we soon find more capable "humans" who turn out to be slimes.

I mean, at this point, even if Jelly revealed herself to be a fake, the slime girl ended up being so competent at her job that no one would care that the original terror tyrant is dead and got possessed by a slime.

The real twist would be if the human is still alive, and just has a slime replacing their blood.

That would be interesting. Like if someone's dying, fatally wounded or terminally ill or the like, can a slime enter and act as life support?

Jokes aside I do feel like Lumir is still tied to the goddess, but she speaks with way too much experience to not 'also' be a slime. Wonder how this all maps out.

A twist like the goddess actually being a fellow slime or her also being a saint in hiding would be fun.

No way the goddess doesnt know about jelly. Yet she still resurrected jelly so lumir definitely has some knowledge about it
